Panther Polishing System instruments

A Complete Polishing Protocol in One System

The Panther system is built on an advanced abrasive composite matrix that progressively refines
the surface with each step. From removing milling striations and diamond adjustment marks through
to a flawless optical finish, every Panther instrument is formulated for a specific role in the
polishing sequence.

Available in HP, FG, and RA shank configurations, the Panther integrates seamlessly into both
laboratory and chairside workflows. Dry polishing or use with light coolant — the system delivers
consistent, reproducible results on every restoration.

  • Advanced abrasive composite technology for controlled material removal
  • Works on all major restorative materials — no system switching required
  • Removes surface roughness from milling and diamond instrument adjustment
  • Step-by-step sequence from coarse to ultra-fine for predictable outcomes
  • Available in HP, FG, and RA shank configurations

Compatible Materials

  • Zirconia (sintered)
  • Lithium disilicate (e.max, Li-Di)
  • Leucite-reinforced ceramic
  • Composite (direct and indirect)
  • Acrylic / PMMA

Recommended Speed

5,000 – 15,000 RPM

Dry or with light water coolant

From Coarse to Ultra-Fine

Each Panther instrument is color-coded for instant identification. Work through the sequence
for a predictable, glass-like result on every restoration.

Step Instrument Grit Band Purpose
1 Panther Coarse Purple Initial surface reduction; removes milling marks and coarse diamond scratches
2 Panther Medium Green Intermediate refinement; smooths Coarse-step surface irregularities
3 Panther Fine Peach Pre-polish stage; produces a satin surface ready for final gloss
4 Panther Ultra White Final polish; achieves the highest surface luster before Finale step

Getting the Best Results

Use Light Intermittent Pressure

Allow the abrasive matrix to do the work. Excessive pressure generates heat and can
compromise the surface and the instrument life. Use short, overlapping strokes.

Follow the Full Sequence

Skipping steps increases the time required at subsequent stages and risks visible
surface blemishes. Follow Coarse to Medium to Fine to Ultra for optimal efficiency.

Rinse Between Steps

Rinse and dry the restoration between each step to remove abrasive debris and
accurately assess the surface prior to moving to the next instrument.

Complete the System with Finale

After the Panther Ultra step, apply the Panther Finale to achieve the ultimate
mirror-gloss optical surface that patients and clinicians expect.

Recommended Companion Products

Panther Finale
The final high-gloss step. Silicone-impregnated medium for a mirror-quality optical surface.
