High-performance HP-shank diamonds designed specifically for adjusting, contouring, and finishing fully sintered zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations. Available in multiple grits for every stage of the workflow.

ZrHP Diamonds are Wagner Precision’s dedicated HP-shank (handpiece-mount) diamond instruments
for adjusting and finishing fully sintered zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations. Where
general-purpose diamonds dull quickly and generate dangerous heat on these ultra-hard materials,
ZrHP Diamonds maintain cutting efficiency through a high-concentration diamond bond formulated
specifically for post-sinter ceramic hardness.
Ideal for laboratory technicians needing rapid material removal during occlusal adjustment,
and for clinicians making chairside corrections on delivered restorations.
HP (Handpiece) — 2.35 mm shank diameter
Compatible with all standard slow-speed and electric handpieces. For FG (friction grip)
applications, see Diacool Ice.
| Grit | ISO Color | Clinical Application |
|---|---|---|
| Coarse | Red | Aggressive material removal, initial adjustment |
| Medium | Blue | Contouring, occlusal refinement |
| Fine | Yellow | Surface smoothing, margin finishing |
| Extra Fine | White | Pre-polish surface preparation |
| Super Fine | Light Blue | Final surface refinement before polishing |
ZrHP Diamonds are available in multiple head geometries to address the full range of
chairside and laboratory adjustment needs on zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations.
Flat surface reduction, proximal contact adjustment
Subgingival margin access, axial wall shaping
Interproximal embrasures, fossa detail
Central fossa, cusp tip rounding
Undercut creation, cervical cavosurface margin
Occlusal groove refinement, ridge morphology
Run ZrHP Diamonds at 100,000–180,000 RPM with continuous air/water spray
coolant. Light, continuous strokes outperform heavy single-stroke passes — allow the diamond
to cut without forcing pressure through the instrument.
Intermittent engagement (pecking motion) helps clear ceramic debris from the diamond surface
and prevents premature loading of the abrasive bond.
Always progress from coarse to fine in sequence. Skipping a grit step leaves a deeper
scratch pattern that the finer instrument cannot fully remove, resulting in a suboptimal
surface and increased polishing time.
For chairside single-step adjustments where only minor reduction is required, the medium
(blue) grit is an acceptable starting point. Always finish with fine or extra-fine before
polishing.
Pair ZrHP Diamonds with these instruments for a complete ceramic finishing system.
The complete all-in-one kit — every instrument in the finishing and polishing sequence, organized and ready.
