Precision diamond-coated discs for interproximal reduction, separation, and contouring of ceramic, composite, and zirconia restorations. Available in double-sided and single-sided configurations, flexible and rigid, across four grit levels.

Wagner Precision diamond discs are engineered for the rigorous demands of interproximal
reduction, contact point adjustment, crown separation, and restoration contouring.
The electro-deposited diamond coating is applied to a precision-manufactured steel substrate,
delivering consistent grit exposure from first use through the full instrument life.
Available in both flexible and rigid substrate options, Wagner diamond discs adapt to
your procedural preference. The smooth, beveled disc edge is engineered for accurate
separation with minimal risk of soft tissue trauma when used with the appropriate guard.
15,000 – 25,000 RPM
Use with water coolant; never run dry at high speed
Select the appropriate grit based on the material, the amount of reduction required,
and the desired surface finish after separation or contouring.
| Grit Level | Color Code | Particle Size | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coarse | Red | 125 – 150 µm | Aggressive separation; maximum material removal; hard ceramics and zirconia |
| Medium | Blue | 88 – 125 µm | General-purpose separation and interproximal reduction; most materials |
| Fine | Yellow | 40 – 88 µm | Refined separation and contact point adjustment; pre-contouring composite |
| Extra Fine | White | 8 – 40 µm | Surface finishing and smoothing after separation; final contouring pass |
Steel substrate provides maximum dimensional stability during separation procedures.
Preferred for straight interproximal cuts and cases where precision directionality
is critical. Rigid discs resist deflection under lateral pressure, ensuring a
consistently flat cut path.
Thin flexible substrate conforms slightly to the restoration surface, making
flexible discs ideal for curved contours and cases requiring gentle separation
without risk of disc breakage under inadvertent lateral stress. Preferred for
composite and acrylic procedures.
Diamond coating on both faces allows the disc to be used in either direction
without repositioning the mandrel. Extended clinical efficiency and greater
value per disc. Standard configuration for most separation procedures.
Diamond coating on one face only provides a smooth, non-cutting reverse side
that protects adjacent tooth structure or soft tissue. Ideal for cases where
only one surface requires cutting action and protection of the adjacent surface
is a clinical priority.
Wagner Precision diamond discs are compatible with standard screw-type and snap-on mandrel
systems. The central aperture is machined to close tolerances, ensuring a secure, wobble-free
mount that prevents eccentric disc rotation at operating speeds.
Wagner discs are available pre-assembled on mandrels or as disc-only replacements for use
with your existing mandrel stock. Confirm mandrel compatibility before use.
Diamond discs must always be used with an appropriate safety guard when operating at
recommended speeds. Never operate a diamond disc without a guard. Failure to use a guard
can result in disc fracture, patient injury, or operator injury. Inspect each disc for
cracks or damage before use. Discard any disc showing signs of delamination, substrate
warping, or diamond loss.
