Wagner Precision Polishing Compound is the final step in any metal finishing sequence.
Applied with a muslin, felt, or rag buff wheel on a lathe or bench motor, it removes
the fine scratches left by pre-polish silicone instruments and develops a true mirror
surface on precious alloys, base metals, and chrome-cobalt frameworks. The compound
is also effective for the final gloss step on ceramic and composite surfaces when
used with an appropriate soft buff disc.
The abrasive specification is calibrated to remove sub-micron scratches without
re-introducing coarser surface marks — ensuring a one-step path from pre-polished
surface to finished mirror gloss.

Apply compound to the buff wheel by briefly touching the bar to the spinning wheel
at moderate speed. Do not over-apply — a light, even coating is sufficient.
Work the restoration surface with moderate pressure and even strokes. Wipe finished
surface with a clean cloth to reveal final gloss.
Polishing compound is most effective when used as the last step after a progressive
series of abrasive instruments. The preceding steps do the heavy work; compound develops
the final mirror surface.
After silicone pre-polish, apply compound with a muslin or chamois wheel. Produces the
mirror surface that showcases the inherent quality of high-gold and palladium alloys.
Harder alloys respond well to compound on a rag or muslin wheel after hard-bond silicone
pre-polish. Achieves a true mirror finish on NiCr and chrome-cobalt frameworks.
For ceramic restorations where re-glazing is not available, compound on a soft felt disc
provides the gloss step after SiC silicone pre-polish.
On indirect composites, compound with a soft buff disc completes the polishing
sequence after the fine silicone step for a lasting high-gloss surface.
